Socal Custom Fences
You’ve invested in a custom fence, and it looks fantastic. But like anything worth having, it needs a bit of TLC to keep it in top shape for years to come. Here’s how to maintain your custom fence so it stays looking great and standing strong.
Starting this off, regular cleaning is crucial. Dirt, grime, and even mold can build up on your fence over time, especially if it’s made of wood which is a very fine material. A good rule of thumb is to give your fence a thorough cleaning at least once a year but ideally every 6 months. For wood fences, a mix of water and mild detergent should do the job when it comes to cleaning. For vinyl or metal fences, a garden hose and a soft brush are usually enough to remove dirt and debris from the surface.
Next, keep an eye out for any signs of damage. Small issues like a loose board or a rusty nail can turn into bigger problems if left unchecked making your fence a lot worse. Make it a habit to walk around your fence every few months and look for signs of wear and tear as safe precaution. If you spot something, fix it sooner rather than later to prevent it from getting worse over time.
If you follow these guidelines above and routinely check on your fence, there is no worry that your fence wont be looking perfect throughout its lifespan
